A Mississippienne in Yankeeland

Hi, y'all!
Well, this is my blog. I got it so I could chronicle my adventures as one little lost Southern Belle in big bad Yankeeland and so my family and friends could keep tabs on what I'll be doing in Americorps.
Here's my story: I'm a teenage girl from Mississippi who has joined Americorps, the domestic Peace Corps. I'm leaving out in January to join my new team at Perry Point, Maryland. Yay me! I'm very excited and enthusiastic but I also feel terribly unprepared. But mostly excitement and enthusiasm.
